In association with Castrol Marine’s official sponsorship of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Motorship Propulsion & Emissions Conference gala dinner will take on a distinctly football theme this year. Special guest, ex-Germany football player Lothar Matthäus, will be taking part in an interview and Q&A session with guests at the dinner. Matthäus has a huge list of accolades to his name including being named European Footballer of the Year, World Soccer Player of the Year and FIFA World Player of the Year in the early 1990s. The most capped German player of all time, he captained the West Germany team to victory in the 1990 World Cup.

The dinner is being held at the new International Maritime Museum which is housed in Hamburg’s oldest preserved warehouse. The Museum gives spectacular views of the harbour and is home to what is claimed to be the world’s largest private maritime collection. The ticket includes: return transfers from the conference hotel to the museum, museum tour, welcome drinks, three course meal with wine, water and coffee.
