Germans clinch €1.2 billion order for cruise ship duo
They will be the biggest ships ever built by Meyer and bring to nine the number on order with the yard.
The yard, in Papenburg, North Germany, said each of the giant ships would carry more than 4,000 passengers. It said finance had already been secured through a German export finance credit guarantee. Kevin Sheehan, Chairman of NCL, said the ships had been ordered because of improvements in the company’s business and the popularity of its other ships.
