GL certifies MaK dealer Bolier

GL has awarded Boiler with the highest service level, the MSA Award Platinum, according to the Marine Service Assessment (MSA) of Germany’s Caterpillar Marine Power Systems which contracted GL to certify its worldwide marine dealer network.

Bolier is part of Pon Power, and is the official representative for MaK engines in the BeNeLux and the Netherlands Antilles regions.

The MSA was established by Caterpillar to assess the technical and commercial performance of the network, which consists of both Caterpillar and MaK dealers. It also sets a benchmark for Caterpillar’s service centres. The aim of the assessment is to identify improvements that individual dealers can apply to ensure a high level of customer service.

All dealers within the network provide sales, services, technical support and maintenance and repair of marine diesel engines and generator sets.

The MSA measures dealer support capabilities including range and quality of technical services, main shop repairs, in field repairs, technical staff qualifications, backup support, administration and response/delivery times.
