Good Earth builds yard at Cuddalore

The Chennai-based shipbuilder Good Earth Maritime Ltd, will build a shipyard at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu on the East coast of India, with an investment of $228 million. The project will be implemented in two phases and an amount of $114 million will be invested in the first phase. The plan is to build ships with deadweight of between 45,000 and 80,000 tonnes and shipbuilding is scheduled to begin in three years.
