GTT Group ranks top for patents

In the ranking of the top 50 patent applicants in all categories, GTT is in 30th place.

With a research and development budget representing 10% of its turnover in 2020, GTT places innovation at the heart of its strategy. “With this first place in the ranking, for the second consecutive year, the GTT Group reaffirms the power of its innovation and its technological leadership, at the service of the energy transition,” said Philippe Berterottière, chairman and chief executive of GTT.

GTT aims in particular to support its customers with the challenges of decarbonisation. Over the past ten years, the solutions developed by the group have enabled greenhouse gas emissions from LNG carriers to be halved. Today, GTT is working on technical and digital solutions for the propulsion of vessels using LNG, which can reduce CO2 emissions by 20%.
