Hanjin orders 10,000TEU quintet
Hanjin Shipping has placed an order for five 10,000TEU containerships with Samsung Heavy Industries. The five 117,000 DWT newbuildings are scheduled for successive deployment from February of 2010 on Hanjin’s trans-Pacific route. Ship particulars are 349 metre length and 45.6 metre width, a 68,332 kW diesel engine and a service speed of 25.7 knots.
Currently operating 80 containerships on 60 routes worldwide, Hanjin Shipping has and will continue to expand and rationalize its fleet and strengthen ties with the CKYH Alliance.
