Harris Pye and Cyrus-RW form alliance
The two groups will cooperate to secure international marine, offshore and power contracts, from large steel installations for marine vessels and rigs to power plant equipment.
Mark Prendergast, managing director, Harris Pye Group, said: “Creating a strong long term relationship with Cyrus is a win-win for both companies. Cyrus has specialised precision machinery to reverse engineer and refurbish ‘giant’ engineering parts and equipment such as marine and industrial power gearboxes, which we don’t. Having them on-board means we will have an assured supply of first class, large scale, heavy engineering expertise and equipment.”
“Our combined capabilities will be particularly valuable to the marine and offshore industries, as it puts us in a position to offer complete turnkey packages no matter how large the project. This is naturally a very attractive proposition, as it saves both time and costs.”
Ian Watkins, chairman, Cyrus-RW, added: “We’ve experienced significant growth over the last three years, and are confident that working alongside Harris Pye, we can increase turnover by 50% over the next three years.”
