Havila orders IRM vessel

Havila Shipping ASA has entered into a contract with Havyard Leirvik for the construction of an offshore IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance) vessel, Havyard 855. The vessel is developed by Havyard Maritime in close cooperation with Havila Shipping ASA and will have a length of 97.54 m and breadth of 19.8 m.

To meet future environmental and comfort demands the vessel will be built to clean design class and have catalyzers and DP 2. Delivery is set for summer 2010, and the contract price is approx NOK 700 million (about $132 million), including owner delivery of the crane.
