HHI inks HMM boxship order

Hyundai Merchant Marine in South Korea will order four 8,600TEU and five 4,700TEU container ships. All nine vessels will be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Samho Shipyard with the smaller units being delivered during 2008.

Total contract price of four 8,600TEU container ships is $517.42 million and the five 4,700TEU container ships is $393.25 million.
