HMD scoops boxship contracts

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, a unit of Hyundai Heavy Industries, has been awarded contracts worth a total $630 million to build 11 container ships. HMD will build five vessels for Germany’s NY, one for Japan’s Orix, three for P&O Nedlloyd and two for another Japanese shipowner.
