Hudong HM receives first low speed RT-Flex engine

Hudong Heavy Machinery in China received its first order for low speed 7 RT-Flex60C engines from Yangtze Shipbuilding. The new order is for six units of the Wartsila designed RT-Flex engine and will be the first to be built in China. The initial unit will be delivered in April, 2005 and the engines will be installed in a six-ship series of 1,574TEU container ships ordered by a German ship owner.
