Hundai and Transas develop IBS
The Electro Electric Systems Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world?s largest shipbuilder, has chosen Transas as a cooperation partner for the joint development of the new Hyundai ? Transas intelligent bridge system (HTIBS).
According to the agreement, the new advanced HTIBS to be presented to the international commercial marine market will incorporate hardware and software elements from both manufacturers. These will include the Hyundai Advanced Control and Integration System (ACONIS), Hyundai Intelligent Voyage Data Recorder (HiVDR) and Hyundai Intelligent Conning system (HiConning). Transas? involvement includes key elements such as their Navi-Sailor 3000 ECDIS-I, a powerful new generation navigation and information system, and Navi-Radar 3000-I, a digital radar system with advanced chart and AIS functionality.
The close collaboration between Hyundai and Transas at all stages of the project will ensure the development of technically advanced and fully customized solutions specially adapted to suit the needs of the particular customer. Other anticipated benefits from the Hyundai ? Transas cooperation include enhanced system functionality; any language support; service support, including software and system upgrades; technical support and professional operator training programs for navigating personnel.
