Hyundai Mipo Q3 earnings soar

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., the world’s fourth-largest shipyard, said its third-quarter earnings surged 130% from a year earlier thanks to increased ship prices. Net profit amounted to $51.7 million in the three months to 30 September compared with $22.6 million a year ago.

Sales jumped 26.6% to $656 million, and operating profit increased 140.9% to $62.7 million.
