IMO asked to consider wind in EEDI

Brabeck told the event in Copenhagen that Germany wants the EEDI formula to include a calculation to reflect the lower energy requirements, and thus lower CO₂ emissions, of ships equipped with wind assistance, such as Skysails’ own kite system. The request was submitted on 6 May, according to Brabeck.
