India wins DOF order for PSVs

Norwegian offshore vessels operator DOF ASA has awarded the Indian shipbuilder Cochin Shipyard Ltd a newbuilding contract for two platform supply vessels (PSVs).

The NOK245m contract ($46 million) covers two PSVs of Aker PSV 09 CD design scheduled for delivery in May and September 2010.

One of the ships will be owned by DOF, while the other will be owned by DOF’s 50%-owned associated company Aker DOF Supply. DOF, headquartered in Storebo, Norway, operates platform supply, anchor handling tug supply and multi-purpose vessels. The company has a fleet of 64 vessels including newbuildings.
