Island Offshore orders OSV from Vard

The contract is valued at over NOK 1 billion. The hull for the ship will be built at Vard Tulcea in Romania, for completion at Vard Brevik in Norway. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.

The Island Offshore Group currently manages a fleet of more than 30 vessels with an average age of less than four years, operating in Brazil, West Africa, the Gulf of Mexico and in the North Sea. Vard says that it has delivered more than 30 vessels to Island Offshore in the past, in addition to five vessels which are currently under construction.
