The Italian company FVH is considering buying shares worth 5.2 million Euro in the Polish shipyard of Stocznia Gdansk and another stake will be acquired by Ukrainian Donbas.

FVH operates in LNG sector and may become the owner of the shipyard. FVH could order small and medium-sized LNG carriers from the Polish shipyard.

The Ukrainian Donbas, which supplies steel plates to the shipbuilding industry, is the second potential investor and negotiations are reportedly taking place today and tomorrow. The decision may be made what size stake the Ukrainians will buy. Donbas is also a potential investor of Stocznia Gdynia which owns 30% of Stocznia Gdansk.
