Izar has designed a pure trailer carrying 3,075 lane metre vessel, classified as the R-3000. The 180m long vessel has a deadweight of 9,400t and is equipped with 22 single crew cabins and nine single driver cabins. The yard has specified two engines producing 5,900kW of power to give a range of about 6,900 nautical miles, at a service speed of 18.5 knots in full load conditions. Dimensions are: A length overall of 180m; length between perpendiculars is 168.7m; breadth moulded (Main Deck) is 24.3m; depth moulded (Main Deck) is 8.3m; and the design draught is 7m. The ship design envisages it being equipped with two shaft generators of 1,000 kVA each and three auxiliary engines of 1,000 kVA each in order to generate electric power. It also has a 250kVA emergency generator. Manoeuvrability is enhanced through the fitting of two 800kW bow thrusters. The vessel is designed to Lloyd?s Register + 100 A1 class and can be built to this or any other comparable IACS equivalent, says Izar.
