JRC launches new marine radar

Japan Radio Company (JRC) has launched a new marine radar system featuring proprietary technology developed specifically to enhance user-friendliness, target visibility and overall performance. The JMA-5300 series is delivered as standard with Constaview and ?target enhancement function? (TEF) technology.

Constaview enables a radar operator to switch between different operating modes instantaneously. Furthermore, the picture is updated after only one scan when the user changes range. The TEF was developed exclusively by JRC to allow better identification of small and/or weak echoes. It works by proportionally adding pixels to items displayed on the radar image in order to improve target discrimination.
