Kleven completes Rem Offshore PSV
The 85m vessel is a type VS 485 MK III PSV, a design that has been further developed by Kleven and now includes optimised lines to help reduce fuel consumption.
The vessel is the third of this type to be ordered by Rem Offshore, Rem Fortress and Rem Commander were delivered last year.
“We are delighted to have expanded our fleet with yet another Kleven-built vessel,” said Åge Remøy, CEO, Rem Offshore. “This is a ship we are already familiar with and it has been well-received in the marketplace. Last year we received two other vessels of this type from Kleven and they have proven to be reliable and effective vessels for both us and our customers.”
The latest vessel, which meets DNV requirements for Clean Design, is the first to be fitted out with Kleven Maritime Technology’s (KMT) Conning Information Display System.
The new system, which displays the ship’s vital data, including progress and movement patterns, has been based on a new graphic platform that has been designed to create a user friendly graphic interface.
Rem Fortune, which was christened at Kleven’s Ulsteinvik shipyard on 15 May 2013, will now enter a long term contract with global energy company, ConocoPhillips.
