Kooren sells three Rotortugs

Importer

Kooren Shipbuilding and Trading B.V. in Holland has won an order for three of their RT-80 Rotortugs from Bugsier-, Reederei-, und Bergungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG. These 28.30m long by 12m wide tugs are to be built at ASL Shipyard Pte Ltd. in Singapore for delivery between November 2007 and mid 2008.

The high bollard pull of 80 tonnes together with a low draught of 5.95m, has been a decisive factor of placing this order with Kooren. All three tugs will be powered by three 1,600 kW Wärtsilä 8L20C engines, each of which will drive a Wärtsilä/Lips Propulsion Systems? CS225-S/WN-K 2300 CP type azimuth thruster in HR nozzles. The tugs will be classed by Germanischer Lloyd, will fly the German flag and will be equipped with fire fighting and spray capabilities in line with the required FiFi 1 notation.
