Korea delivers Indonesian sub
Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering in Korea recently delivered the 1,300-ton displacement submarine ?Cakra? to the Indonesian Navy.
This is the first time that a Korean shipyard has exported a submarine to another country. The ?Cakra? is a diesel-powered submarine 59.5 meters in length and 6.2 meters in width. It has a 39.8 km per hour maximum speed and carries 14 torpedoes.
