Korean shipbuilders avoiding low-end orders

Shipbuilders in South Korea are refraining from receiving new low-end orders as they have already secured a three-year backlog of orders. Industry sources claim Samsung did not bid for a recent order from the Middle East for four 6,500 TEU container ships or a number of orders for oil tankers from Europe.
