Largest Vietnam tanker launched
The Bach Dang Shipbuilding Company, a subsidiary of the Vinashin group, recently launched a 13,500 dwt oil tanker, named ?Vinashin Sea?, the largest ever built in Vietnam. The tanker, 145 m long, 20.8 m wide and a depth of 11.2 m, is equipped with a German-made 5,180 kW engine.
The yard is also building a 22,500 dwt cargo vessel for a Vietnamese company and a 10,500 dwt freighter for Japan’s NOMA company.
