LASCO receives second Croatian tanker

The Latvian Shipping Company (LASCO) has taken delivery of its second Craotian built products tanker, the 51,800 dwt ?Jurkalne?, from the 3.Maj shipyard.

The commissioning ceremony of the first of the 10-ship series LASCO tankers took place in July this year with the handing over of the ?Ance?, while, in August, the third of tanker was launched at the yard. The Croatian shipbuilder will be delivering the remaining eight medium-size tankers to the Latvian shipping company during the next two years.

Another four 37,000 dwt tankers are being built for LASCO at the Korean shipyard Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Ltd. These vessels could arrive in Latvia next year.
