Low freeboard mini-slide

DBC Marine Safety Systems has introduced a mini-slide system to work in conjunction with its IBAs (reversible inflatable platforms) and liferafts. The mini-slide has been designed to meet the USCG and international regulations for evacuating passengers from low freeboard vessels.

The slide includes a recessed floor and twin tube which allows for a safe and secure descent for evacuating passengers, says DBC. The mini-slide includes a deceleration ramp at the bottom.

It is available in two sizes to work on freeboard heights of up to 2.5m and 4m. DBC also offers an ESS system which contains both the mini-slide and IBA in an aluminium container. The system can be deployed by one person and automatically inflates both the mini-slide and IBA within 45 seconds, says DBC. Fax +1 604-278-7812.
