Maag makes turbine connections

The MPFF-15/27 mounts directly to a 2.9MW (4,000 bhp) Allied Signal TF40 gas turbine, and reduces the speed from 15,400 rev/min to 373 rev/min for driving a propeller. Weighing 4.4t turbines the unit has co-axial input/output shafts making it suitable for use where space is limited.
