Machinery failure CD-ROM

Richards Technical Services (RTS) says its database of shipboard machinery failures is compiled from thousands of incidents covering the full spectrum of marine machinery. It includes 15 fields of information, which for reasons of confidentiality do not include the name of the ship or the operator, but include type of machinery, the cause of the failure, the age, size and type of ship, and the cost and time taken for repairs.

The data can be manipulated by the user to produce reports and draw graphs to illustrate the relationship between the different fields of information, says RTS. A in-built glossary and machinery drawings are included
