Maintenance data via the net

Mincom has updated its electronic maintenance documentation system LinkOne to version 4.0. The publishing, viewing and distribution system allows users to consult electronic manuals on screen to carry out repairs, order new parts or conduct maintenance procedures.

Version 4.0 allows integration with many existing data formats and provides the ability to capture web sites within LinkOne books. Users can move from their service instructions or parts manuals to the web, order parts or contact help desks, without having to exit the electronic manual they are working from, says Mincom.

Other features include the ability to author and access documentation in the client`s preferred language, including double byte Asian character sets and automatic distribution of parts and maintenance information across the Internet.
