Major Indian coast guard order for waterjets

Under the terms of the order, MJP will supply waterjets for 36 high-speed interceptor boats for the Indian coast guard. The boats will be designed and constructed by Indian engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro. Delivery of the waterjets began in 2010 and will continue until 2013.

MJP Waterjets, part of the Swedish industrial group Österby Marine, claims to the fastest-growing waterjet supplier, and says the order from India, which is expected to become the largest market for waterjets in the coming years, is an important milestone in its ambition to become the market leader in waterjets. MJP says its products have been selected by 22 countries for governmental applications.
