MAN collaboration and service agreements

The agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two companies in the fields of ship design, ship-type research & development, ship power, ship automation, environmental protection, intelligent ship and battery solutions.

Signing the agreement was Sun Feng, vice president at CCS and Jeffrey Ang, vice president, head of engine and marine systems Asia Pacific at MAN Diesel & Turbo, who said: “China is one of the most important markets for us already, accounting for more than 12% of our total revenue. And we see great growth opportunities here and want to deepen our partnership with the Chinese economy”.

The agreement is a renewal under the Framework Agreement for Technical Cooperation signed by both parties in 2013.

XINYA service agreement

MAN PrimeServ China has also signed a service station agreement with Zhoushan Xinya Shipyard Co., Ltd (XINYA).

Mr Ang and Zhou Boting, vice general manager at XINYA, signed the agreement, which will see MAN PrimeServ provide service for diesel engines, propellers and turbochargers in a new 560sqm workshop due to be built by XINYA within its facilities in Zhoushan.

The workshop is expected to be finished next August.

XINYA is the nation’s biggest privately-owned shipyard, with an annual repairing volume of 400 ships.
