Management software expands

The suite of fleet management software modules from ABS has been expanded following the merger of its SafeNet with the Nautical Technology Corporation (NTC) Ship Manager program. The two management systems have been brought together under the umbrella of ABS Nautical Systems Inc, a joint venture company set up by NTC and ABS (the majority shareholder).

In addition to SafeNet`s present modules of Survey Status, Hull Maintenance, Vessel Drawings, and Marine Information, NTC`s Ship Manager suite adds Maintenance and Repair, Purchasing and Inventory, Crew Management, and Crew Payroll modules. This last module can handle multi-national crew contracts in multiple currencies, and simultaneously take into account the tax requirements for each country.
