Managing design

The Tribon M1 software recently launched by Kockums Computer Systems allows management and supervisors to have full control of design development.

Tribon M1 Design Manager allows the co-ordination of design tasks within and between different design disciplines, the review of progress by compartment, system, and area, or by an individual designer. The design can be checked, and the tactics for late design changes investigated and managed.

The software gives immediate access to the objects in the Tribon Product Information Model through a tree view, a graphical view, and a parts list view. It works directly on the Tribon Product Information Model and provides powerful machanisms for navigation in the model, says KCS.

The new Platform Transparency mechanism allows Tribon M1 applications to be used together with existing Tribon installaions and databesed on UNIX or VMS.
