Marcas launches web site

The Marine Contracting Association (Marcas), the marine purchasing association, has launched a web site and extended its membership to BP Shipping, Lasco Shipping and Marenostrum. Marcas says this moves it closer to its target of 500 vessels by the end of 2001. The web site can be found at www.marcas.org. The vendor membership now extends to 35 contracts, says the association, ranging from lubricants, through OEM spares to airtime. Vendor contracts signed in August were for crew travel with Griffin Marine Travel and airtime with Stratos and Xantic.
