Mechanical 360deg de-scaling

Dalseide Shipping Services has developed a machine designed for de-scaling and cleaning outer pipe surfaces in a 360deg single operation. Called Rustibus Pipe it has a capacity of up to 25 m/hr and achieves a surface treatment to SA2.5, says the company. The unit is available in various sizes to treat from 44mm (2in) to 304mm (12in) pipe diameters.

It can be used to maintain pipes on board ships and can be installed around the pipe by one man with no extra tools or skilled labour required, says Dalseide.
