Millionaire eyeing state-owned shipyards

Croatian millionaire Danko Koncar has reportedly confirmed he is interested in the privatization of all five state-owned shipyards. After much media speculation, Koncar confirmed his interest in an interview on Croatian National Television (HRT). If he is able to buy the shipyards, he said, he would continue their main service of shipbuilding.

Koncar said a consortium named ‘Hrvatska brodogradnja’ (Croatian Shipbuilding) would represent him in the privatisation process but refused to say who else would be involved in it.
