Mipo shortens shipbuilding period by 70 days
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has achieved a 70 day reduction in the construction of the first 46,000DWT product carrier in a 12 ship series order from BP Shipping. Named British Tenacity, the tanker is 183 metres long, 32.2 metres wide, has a depth of 18.8 metres and a service speed of 15 knots.
The Korean shipbuilder said the early delivery was as a result of a considerable increase in productivity through improvement in shipbuilding process.
