Mobiq Marine goes global

BT has announced a three-month promotion to introduce its Mobiq Global Service which, it says, provides more flexible and cost-effective price packages for mini-M satellite phones. BT has expanded the service with the introduction of Indian Ocean Region coverage and introduced a global billing system called Neon.

The promotion gives savings of up to 30% on call charges and drops monthly subscription fees, says BT. Those wishing to take advantage of the offer can do so by changing their current SIM card for a Mobiq SIM card, or reconfiguring their terminals.

The promotion will see standard per-minute prices falling from the current $3.00 to $2.10 for three months before being replaced by the new standard rates of $2.30.
