More orders for STX and Daehan

STX Shipbuilding has secured a newbuilding contract for four 62,000DWT product carriers and two 10,600DWT chemical tankers from a shipowner in Cyprus. The total value amounts to $252million and all six ships will be delivered by 2008.

Daehan Shipbuilding clinched six 10,000DWT multi purpose cargo vessels from unknown shipowner in Europe. The first unit will be delivered in June 2006 with the remaining five completed at three monthly intervals.
