New Comnav night vision cam

The V2 system’s thermal camera’s ComNav Digital Pattern Enhancement (DPE) delivers precision images in complete darkness, fog, snow, rain and low light conditions. In addition, it has built-in heaters with auto defrost to protect the camera and keep it functioning even in freezing environments.

It distinguishes heat with a choice of display settings helping to ensure that night docking and close proximity manoeuvering is made easier and safer. But fundamentally, it takes the guess work out of a man overboard situation allowing a missing crewman to be spotted in the water even in complete darkness.

Being made out of a lightweight aluminium construction, the V2 thermal camera exceeds military standards – its compact and durable design allows the camera to be mounted either upright or inverted.

The camera also offers still picture capture and video recording utilising a removable storage card. It also has an easy touch 2x electronic zoom using a proportional control joystick on the keypad and a 360 degree continuous pan and +/-90º tilt provides seamless view coverage.

It can be networked with onboard computers and can be controlled remotely over the internet – up to four remote stations can be set up using joystick control units.
