New Havyard vessel enters operations

The vessel, built for the shipping company Vestland Offshore, has already entered into operations in the North Sea. Equipped with Havyard’s brand new bridge console design, the vessel is also kitted out with SGS seismic equipment for offshore and seismic operations.

Havyard says that the contract with Vestland Offshore, a new customer for the company, is strategically important. And Vestland Offshore director, Per Vidar Hille, has been quick to express the expertise of Havyard’s shipyard in Leirvik, Norway.

He said: “The whole process has gone excellently and we have received a vessel we are very pleased with. Being able to run such a demanding business in this area, where you would think that logistics and access to qualified personnel is a challenge, is simply incredible to me. I am really impressed by Havyard Ship Technology in Leirvik, a shipyard that continuously delivers vessels.”

The Vestland Mira is of a Havyard 832 L design and is number 15 of a similar design for the shipbuilder. It measures 86m in length, weighs 4200dwt and has a speed of 14.5 knots.
