New LNG venture from Braemar Engineering

Braemar says it will apply its experience to a new operation which recognises the growing importance of LNG as a global maritime fuel source.

The new project, which will be based in Houston, Texas, will begin focusing on operations in the Gulf of Mexico. It will provide services which cover all aspects of the LNG process, from conceptual siting/feasibility studies, code compliance and permitting through to design, front end engineering and design (FEED), construction oversight, commissions and start up.

Sheila McClain, vice president of business development, who will head the new venture, said: “We have developed this project in response to demands from our customers and look to build a reputation as the ‘one stop shop’ in LNG as fuel in the maritime industry.”

Geoff Green, managing director, Braemar, added: “This venture is a logical extension for us. We analyse systems to identify potential design and process failures before they occur and we then use our specialist knowledge to minimise the risk of failure.”
