New orders for CSSC-MES Diesel

CSSC-MES Diesel Co., Ltd., a joint venture company to manufacture marine diesel engines of CSSC in China and MES in Japan has won an order for three 8K98MC main diesel engines. These will be installed onboard the 5,100TEU container ships to be built by Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding. With the new order, the JV has now secured 61 engine new orders of 2.64 million bhp, a two years workload.

Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding in Japan owns 34% of the JV and Hudong Heavy Machinery 51% while China State Shipbuilding Corporation has 15%.
