New owner for Danish company
Selco will become part of the Littelfuse Startco protection relay business based in Canada. It will continue all current operations in its Roskilde, Denmark, plant, under the same management, and will retain its existing network of agents and distributors.
Both companies say they will be working together with their sales resources to bring their products to a broader market segment. Selco’s arc protection, generator controls and process alarm products are said to complement the Littelfuse Startco portfolio.
“We believe that this is a great partnership. We think that the combination with Littelfuse will allow us to bring new products and capabilities to our customers and enable new opportunities to grow our business” said Jens Hammer Sørensen, Selco managing director.
“The acquisition of Selco is a significant step in our strategy to expand our protection relay business,” said Dan Stanek, general manager of Littelfuse Startco. “They also provide a strong base for further expansion of our protection business and broaden our capabilities to help customers reduce electrical hazards. Selco is an excellent fit with Littelfuse.”
