New PSV for Island Offshore

Aker Yards, via its wholly owned subsidiary Aker Brevik, has entered into a contract with Island Offshore VIII KS in Ulsteinvik, Norway, to deliver a UT 755LN platform supply vessel. The value of the contract is approximately $21 million.

Lars Stärk, Managing Director of Aker Brevik said, “We have won an important PSV contract. This proves that we are competitive in a market that continues to develop positively.” The hull for the PSV will be built at Aker Brevik’s subsidiary in Romania, Aker Braila. The hull will arrive in Brevik in July next year with delivery scheduled for November 2005.
