New range from STN Atlas

A range of high-performance 12 and 16-inch radars, called the Radarpilot Atlas 1000 Series, has been introduced by STN Atlas Marine Electronics. Designed for stand alone or integrated use, the sets are capable of simultaneously tracking 50 targets in a variety of modes, with trails adapted to signal strengths of targets, says STN Atlas. They also feature enhanced clutter suppression using an automated clean sweep process supported by an automatic video enhancement facility, or AVE, says the company.

Other features include a switchable antenna revolution, from 23 rev/min to 46 rev/min, for high-speed applications, a docking function which operates over ranges from 250-500m and a supplementary window display function with zoom facilities, for the presentation of additional nautical data.

The series is available with a choice of 12.5 or 25kW X-band and 30kW S-band transceivers.
