New Rules for steel ships construction

Following requests from industry, requirements related to black-out tests in special surveys have been amended.

Requirements relating hull surveys and the review of the definition of general dry cargo ships have been amended following investigation feedback during surveys.

Changes made to international conventions and IACS Unified Requirements have also necessitated requirements related to plans and procedures for recovery of persons from the water and requirements related to strength for ventilators and air pipes fitted on exposed fore decks.
