New Syncrolift for Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Ship Building has placed an order with Syncrolift for a 2,100t nominal lift capacity shiplift as part of its yard expansion plan. The additional facility will allow ADSB to compete with Dubai`s Jadaf contractors for regional repair work.

The lift platform will measure 77m x 20m and will be raised using twelve 330t hoist assemblies. Total maximum lift capacity will be 3,140t. The shiplift will serve three 85m dry berths, which will be primarily used for repair work, and two 85m x 27m construction halls by way of a two level transfer system.

Syncrolift has also won an order for a 820t maximum lift capacity shiplift for the Kuwaiti Coast Guard`s new base at Fintas, Kuwait. With a two level transfer system it will be capable of docking more than seven coastguard vessels for repair simultaneously. .
