Odense delivers Gerd Maersk

Odense Steel Shipyard in Denmark delivered its latest newbuilding, Gerd Maersk, for the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group. This is the fifth vessel in a new series of technologically advanced 6,600 TEU container vessels operated with extensive automation.

The newbuilding is powered by a 12-cylinder Wärtsilä RT-flex96C diesel engine from Doosan Engine with an output of 68,640kW. Gerd Maersk will be registered in Drag?r.
