Oily water separator loses weight

The company says that the lighter-weight units have now been added to its full product range and are available to any interested parties. Due to the weight constraints applied to this project, Victor Marine faced the challenge of designing and building a lightweight version of its successful CS series separator. Having to meet a rapidly approaching delivery date, the work undertaken had to be carried out in a very short period of time.

Tasked with producing a separator weighing no more than 215kg (dry weight) Victor Marine managed to produce a fully functional aluminium separator weighing 169kg, representing a 30% reduction over the weight of a standard CS Series unit, and under the customer’s original indicated requirement.

Three of these lightweight units have already been supplied, and well received.
